UK heat battery manufacturer Sunamp, a world leader in thermal storage technologies, has signed its first North American partner supply agreement with Quebec based Services Énergétiques RL (SERL). Sunamp will initially supply Thermino and Central Bank Home thermal batteries to work with electric flow boilers and heat pumps to provide thermal storage for heating and hot water.
The heat batteries will be used to shift the peak load to hours of excess utility capacity by storing heat for domestic hot water and central heating.
SERL collaborates with engineering consulting firms to supply boiler rooms for institutional, industrial and commercial sectors and has a track record in small, medium and large-scale projects such as hospitals, office buildings, schools, residential buildings, factories and shopping centres.
Thermino heat batteries for domestic hot water are the low carbon, reliable, space-saving, super-insulated alternative to traditional hot water cylinders. Thermino heat batteries use Sunamp's high performance Plentigrade® phase change material to store energy from almost any energy source and release it as heat on demand. Their compact size enables renewables to be installed in homes such as high-rise apartments where they wouldn't otherwise fit, tackling fuel poverty and lowering carbon emissions.
